Andrea TorresAndrea Torres, Managing Partner

With nearly twenty years of work experience in the local government and nonprofit sectors, Andrea Torres is committed to helping organizations create a greater and lasting impact for the people they serve and the broader community.  She believes in the power of measuring performance and critically reviewing systems and processes to ensure that an organization’s operations are effectively and efficiently aligned with their mission. She understands that an organization is made up of diverse individuals and organizational success comes from investing in their development and building on their strengths. Above all, she realizes that organizations must often maneuver within a maze of funding requirements and political realities that makes decision-making complex and often difficult. These are the challenges that Andrea enjoys tackling the most.

Before joining WNT, Andrea was Vice President and Chief Program Officer at Meals on Wheels Central Texas, managing a team of fundraising, communications and direct service professionals. She was responsible for a variety of special projects including merger discussions, strategic planning, disaster planning and a database system conversion.  She also successfully led the organization through two City of Austin social service contract proposals and was responsible for over $2.5 million in fundraising efforts. Andrea began her professional career as a performance auditor with the City of Austin where she conducted evaluations of City programs, wrote reports, and made recommendations for improvements in areas ranging from health clinics to employee compensation to sales and property tax to aviation.

Andrea is a graduate of Stanford University and the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin. She loves college football, training and competing with her dogs, and traveling with her family.  Andrea’s goal is to fill her National Park passport book with a cancellation stamp from each national park.
